BRILLIANT! FANTASTIC! MAGICAL!
The Plaza Theatre is absolutely gorgeous! What a wonderful and historical experience this was for my children. Not only did they get to enjoy movies at both theatres, but they also got to hear the organ their grandfather used to play at the Dudley Baseball Field in the 1960’s. This was one of the highlights of the summer for my family. I am so proud of El Paso and the supporters of the renovation project. Thank you to everyone involved in making the success of ‘The Movies Return’. Please, please, please bring more movies soon…especially Star Wars and Gone with the Wind!

Thanks to the Community Foundation for producing a spectacular film festival. Chuck Horak and Eric Pearson, the Plaza staff, sponsors and volunteers helped create a very special memory for a new generation of El Pasoans. The value of your gift is immeasurable. |

Huge thank you to Mr. Horak and The El Paso Community Foundation (Eric). This movie festival was brilliant and beautiful beyond words. It was so amazing to watch the movies that I love in such an amazing venue. The most beautiful thing about the experience was seeing 900+ people fall in love with these timeless films. I never tired of seeing the kids and adults "ooh" and "ahh" at the light show. Thank you! I consider myself extra fortunate to have been a volunteer during this spectacular event! I, like the rest of El Paso, look forward to the next one! |

You guys did an amazing job with the movie festival! I had the privilege of seeing three movies and I only wish I could have seen more. The movie festival and the Plaza Theatre are a symbol of the great things that the people of El Paso can do when we work together as a community. |

I worked at the Plaza Theatre in 1966 as an usher. Every weekend an older fellow would come in and play the pipe organ. Sometimes we filled the huge theatre. The most popular movie while I was there was "Texas Across the River". The movie ran for weeks which was unusual back then. Pay was $.75/hr. The place was beautiful although one of the things I dealt with was kids in the first balcony peppering the audience with popcorn. I once had a smoker who insisited on lighting up. I would warn him and when I left he would light up again. I finally stood somewhere behind him and everytime he lit up I would warn him again until he gave up. Another time a patron came up and laughed at me because the TWC basketball team had lost that year. I had no idea what he was talking about. |

I saw Giant the other night, and it was so awsome! Please have more classics at the Plaza more often! This was an excellent idea! |
